Win conditions

Win conditions are the specific strategies or objectives your team needs to focus on to win the game. Different team compositions and game states will dictate different win conditions.

  1. Team Composition: Understand your team’s strengths and weaknesses. For example, a team with strong late-game scaling champions (like hyper-carries or mages) should aim to extend the game and farm until they reach their power spikes.
  2. Identify Key Champions: Recognize which champions on your team and the enemy team are crucial to winning fights. Protect your carry or focus on shutting down the enemy’s strongest champion.
  3. Objective Control: Identify which objectives are most important for your team to secure. For example, if your team excels at team fighting, prioritize securing Dragons to stack buffs.
  4. Lane Priority: Determine which lane or lanes should be the focus for your team. This could be the lane with the most advantageous matchup or the lane that leads to key objectives like Baron or Dragon.
  5. Adapt to the Game State: Win conditions can shift based on how the game progresses. If your early game strategy fails, you may need to adjust to a more defensive playstyle and focus on farming and picking off enemies.
  6. Split Pushing: If your team has a strong split-pusher (like a Fiora or Jax), use that champion to apply pressure on one side of the map while the rest of the team distracts or fights elsewhere. This can lead to taking towers or drawing enemies away from key objectives.
  7. Team Fight vs. Pick Comp: If your team is built for team fighting (with strong AoE and CC), group up and look for 5v5 engagements. If your team is better at picking off isolated enemies (with champions like assassins), focus on creating opportunities for picks before major fights.
  8. Vision Control: Establish and deny vision around key areas to control objectives and dictate the pace of the game. This is especially important for securing Baron or Elder Dragon safely.
  9. Play to Your Strengths: Stick to your team’s strengths and avoid playing into the enemy’s strengths. For instance, if the enemy has strong engage, avoid grouping too tightly or face-checking bushes.
  10. Scaling vs. Early Game: If your team scales better into the late game, focus on minimizing losses early, farming safely, and avoiding unnecessary risks. Conversely, if you have a strong early game comp, look to snowball your advantage and close out the game quickly.
